Cale Giese has experience leading diverse teams on a wide variety of projects in both the private and public sectors. He has a background in public service, small business ownership, and business development, and is passionate about growing and strengthening Nebraska’s communities.
He has deep roots in agriculture and grew up on the family farm, located just north of Wayne, Nebraska. After earning a Bachelor of Science from Wayne State College, Cale pursued his interest in agriculture while serving as Director of Operations at Mid Plains Grain, a grain merchandising firm. Cale is a 2017 graduate of the Nebraska LEAD program and also served on the Nebraska Grain and Feed Association’s leadership board (2018-2021) that included a term as President.
Since 2012, Cale has been involved in local politics. After serving six years on the Wayne city council, Cale was elected mayor and is currently serving his second term. When he’s not advocating for community growth, Cale can be found jogging around town or on the golf course.
